What does SSCC mean?

SSCC (Serial Shipping Container Code) are unique numbers used by companies to identify a logistic unit. All parties in the supply chain can follow and track a logistics unit.

The SSCC uniquely identifies each distributed logistic unit and its content. It enables companies to track each logistic unit for efficient order and transport management.

A SSCC are often encoded in a barcode.

When shared electronically via EDI, the SSCC data enables companies to share information about the logistic units and reliably link it to related transport information such as shipment details.
